Dr· Michael (James) Heath and His Restored Wurlitzer 2300 Jukebox

Dr. Michael (James) Heath stands proudly beside his cherished Wurlitzer 2300 stereophonic jukebox, an iconic piece originally built in 1959. This particular machine was sourced from the United States, where it was last licensed for entertainment in South Carolina in 1965. After years of careful preservation, it was transported to the UK about eight years ago.

The jukebox is loaded with around 100 original American 45rpm vinyl records, featuring songs from the late 1950s through the early 1970s. While there are no specific genre requirements for the selection, each record has been chosen for the memories and emotions it evokes. Every Saturday morning, these timeless tracks are played as part of a cherished ritual, keeping the music and the memories alive.
